Riccardo Tisci: the beginnings

Riccardo Tisci was born in Taranto, Puglia, on 1 August 1974. The son of parents from the Taranto province, Riccardo was orphaned of his father when he was a child and his mother Elmerinda, with her nine children, decides to leave Puglia and move to Lombardy. From Cermenate, in the province of Como, Riccardo decides to leave Italy to try his adventure in England at the age of 17. Here he manages to graduate from Central Saint Martins College in London, presenting the collection “8 e mezzo, the procession”.

Success arrives for Riccardo Tisci: Givenchy and Burberry

Success for Riccardo Tisci comes when he starts working with Givenchy in 2005 , taking on the role of creative director, but also continuing to develop his personal collections, relying on the friendship of some important top models such as Maria Carla Boscono and Karen Elson, parade for him.

The professional union between Tisci and the maison produces exciting results, revolutionizing the concept of fashion and fashion design. Her success is due to her ability to change, combining different styles, multiculturalism and always wanting to amaze.
