Fashion and rhinestones: yesterday and today

Nowadays, fashion has changed a lot from many years ago, but not entirely. In fact, sometimes we find ourselves in front of clothing that is strongly inspired by the trendy fashion of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s. Longuette skirts and loose dresses with buttons and textures are back in vogue, or shorter skirts and dresses; shirts with puffs on the sleeves and shoulder pads. Not to mention the colors! In fact, in recent years, fashion re-proposes the colors of the famous’ 60s, ’70s,’ 80s. Thus it reproduces very bright, bright and decisive colors such as yellow, green, red, fuchsia etc. reflecting the style of the aforementioned years in the best possible way.

High-waisted trousers and jackets are also back in fashion. For the latter the colors are much more subdued and weaker shades are used, such as light pink and white.

In addition to this, some items of clothing that are back in fashion are crop tops and dungarees.
We can fully affirm that the old trends, (including the high waist, the fluorescent colors, the maxi accessories) are increasingly reaffirming, but we can say that being revisited they are much more elegant and refined.

In addition to all this, another item of clothing that is very trendy and that the women of the show cannot do without, are the dresses or other garments with sequins. Even the latter, however, are not an invention today, but they have already existed since the distant 1980s.
Instead, with regard to fabrics, the most used are cotton, silk, perforated, rigid or transparent fabrics. Very often the models are accompanied by flounces and textures, such as polka dots, flowers and stripes.
As for accessories, chokers (or chokers) are very popular, in fact we see them worn by many girls. Now let’s talk about other types of accessories: buttons, rhinestones , buckles, etc.

How to embellish a garment

Nowadays, in a field like fashion, nothing ever goes unnoticed. For this reason, the fashion world has created special accessories to embellish clothing, which may have been closed in the closet for years. How can this be done? There are applications created in: macrame, sequins, rhinestones, pearls, stones. In addition there are also thermo-adhesive designs in different shapes, very cute and fine such as flowers, letters, feathers etc. They can be formed not only from cotton, but also from glitter and sequins.
In addition to these applications, trimmings have been created, that is the borders that are needed to decorate, embellish, and finish the clothing. They come in various styles, such as floral, ethnic; and can be made with feathers, fringes, furs, pom poms and other particular types.

To reflect the trendy fashion, you can also embellish the skirts with buttons , just like in the past! Also in this field great strides have been made, because nowadays very beautiful and extravagant buttons have been made, but at the same time elegant. They can be made of rhinestones (called jewel buttons), and have many shapes, for example: square, round, flower, heart. Furthermore, they can be both rounded and flattened, and be of various colors such as silver and gold (also defined as main colors for this type of accessory), orange, white, bronze and fuchsia.
You can then embellish jackets, trousers, skirts and other garments with the application of lace, tulle and brooches.
Or you can make your outfit lighter and more balanced by adding belts or buckles. If worn correctly, they will not only complete and embellish the outfit, but will also slim your figure.
What can we say, we are amazed thinking of the elements that thanks to the stylistic ideas of the past have been created with great originality in recent years and that we have at our disposal!
What fashion offers today turns out to be much loved, not only by girls, but also by older women. All this, even if tied to the past, represents a further step forward in the field of trends.

In conclusion, the fashion of yesterday and that of today seem not to be in contrast, on the contrary they appear with many similarities, if not exactly equalities.
