We have completed the 64 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, a year with plenty of material from which to cut, the situation will be best remembered no doubt the statements of Lars Von Trier and the subsequent title of persona non grata within the festival. With all that, Kirsten Dunst won the award for best actress for “Melancholia.”
Also noted that “The tree of life” directed by Terrence Malick and starring Brad Pitt, (tape which we had already spoken) won the Palme d’Or, and is shaping up to be one of the best movie opening in the year 2011.

Jury Prize: “Polisse” of Maïwenn Le Besco
Best Short Film: “Cross Country” by Maryna VROD.
Golden Camera Award in the Critics’ Week “Acacias” Paul Giorgelli.
